Williams Tenders: How do they sound and look?
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 6:47 AM
I am thinking about purchasing a Williams tender with the Tru-Blast digital whistle and bell sounds to replace my older Lionel tender. None of the hobby shops in the Detroit area have one on display for me to hear how they sound. I have not decided whether to buy either the die cast Berkshire or the plastic bodied steamlined tender. I wonder if anyone has either type of tender from Williams and how they sound, look, ride, etc., and which type you recommend? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If the plastic tender is the same one they offer with the S2 turbine, I have one and it's a good-looking unit that tracks well. I love the whistle - every time I blow it I think of NKP 765.
