Lionel Survey - Why Not a "Thomas and Friends Club"

As those of you on Lionel's E-mail list may know the Orange and Blue has sent out a survey gathering information for a new club. I think they may have missed the point, the nature of the survey is self perpetuating.

I think what is needed is a "Thomas the Tank Train and Friends Club"

- 8 to 10 engines, percy, james, edward, gordon, alice, etc, etc
- engines at the rate of 2 per year
- 30 to 40 car characters
- cars at the rate of 6 to 10 per year
- non-rail characters, bertie the bus just for example
- island of Sodor concept based accessories

This product offering would facilitate the creation of Island of Sodor layout's, after all most of us do this hobby for the little people in our lives, even if they are over 50. And getting all these children hooked on o-gauge rail roading, including engines without faces, would be good for everyone. How many of you like this idea? If so please add a post and then contact your favorite manufacturer about it, or why not contact them all!
