Gargraves switch is buzzing - any suggestions on cause?

Gargraves switch is buzzing - any suggestions on cause?

Switch is not wired - in the construction phase - i wanted to test track but i am getting a buzz from the switch and the test engine will not power up. Any suggestions?

I use Gargraves track & switches and had the same problem untill I started to get my center rail hot lines added every 8 feet AND on each side of every switch. It is as if the pins are not tight enough and the track & pin are just trying to do some arc welding, but instead, will create a bad connection over a short period of time. All my buzzing went away when I got all the hot wires (and common wires) installed. It is just to much to draw through the switch when running a loco on long distances between power connections. Hope this helps.
