I'd say Greenberg's Lionel Catalogues Vol IV 1945-1954, Vol V 1955-1960, and Vol VI 1960-1960. All the catalogs, clearly reproduced. I kick myself I didn't buy a complete set for home when I came to Kalmbach - but my work set gets plenty of use! I think most are out of print now.

My favorite reference books are: The Complete Book of Model Railroading, by Louis H. Hertz, and Model Railroad Track and Layout, by A.C. Kalmbach.

Without question the reference book I enjoy most is the Classic Lionel Display Layouts You Can Build, by Roger Carp. The display layouts are easily buildable by all. They are divided between "027", "0" and my favorite "Super O". Must be 25 display layouts or so. Just saw it on Amazon on sale. check the below link:

What are you most prized reference books?

Very best, Mike
