I always admired the New Haven EP-5 since the mid 1950s when Lionel first came out with it.  I waited years for it to be reissued.  Here is my Williams version I bought in the meantime.  It has the prototypical 3 axle trucks, and looks close to scale.

So when Lionel reissued it about 2000, I had to have one.

Here's one - a 4-4-4 New Marx Prototype which never made it to the production phase.

Not really an engine, but it is electric self-propelled.  The diner is a trailer, as it was on the prototype.  K-Line.

And we can't forget the Lionel "Little Joe".
