James Huff
how and where do I wire 3 sc2s with the 022 turnouts using fixed voltage?

If I do need more power what postwar lionel transformer would safely provide enough power for 12 022 turnouts with a bit of extra wattage to spare if I wanted to add another turnout?

The bulbs alone for each pair of 022 switches will draw about 12 watts, so you will need a KW or better to power the switches.

CLICK HERE for the rest of the SC-2 Manual for details on how they are powered through the 022 switches.

Phase the ZW & KW. If you use just PowerMasters, no Command Base is needed.

If you use 1 PowerMaster and a TPC, the Command Base is needed only to communicate with the TPC, otherwise it acts just like a PowerMaster... the TPC just lacks the 27mhz radio section to communicate with the CAB-1.

If I have 12 022 and 2 711 turnouts on the track plan which I want to control with tmcc how and where do I wire 3 sc2s with the 022 turnouts using fixed voltage? Do I need more power for just the turnouts or do the sc2s provide their own power  for powering the turnouts? If I do need more power what postwar lionel transformer would safely provide enough power for 12 022 turnouts with a bit of extra wattage to spare if I wanted to add another turnout?

Skip the block controller for a conventional layout with just two loops.

Phase the ZW & KW. If you use just PowerMasters, no Command Base is needed.

Lionel tmcc block section controller question

So I trying to grasp how tmcc works in relation to controlling prewar and postwar lionel locos So basically if my layout is being powered by traditional postwar lionel transformers and my layout is seprated into 2 blocks how would I use a block section controller with 2 tpc300 or a tpc 300 and a powernaster with the command base? Do I wire the block controller directly to the command base and then wire the tpc300's/powermaster to the block controller and the postwar 275w zw and 190w kw each to a tpc300/powermaster?
