If you are using Lionel S gauge FasTrack turnouts they can be operated with a TMCC remote. In order to do so with DCC power on the track, the turnouts must separately powered from a standard AC source. This requires a modification (described in the instructions) to separate the turnout power from the track power. I know several S gauge DCC operators who use the Lionel turnouts in this manner.
I currently run modern American Flyer legacy, on S Gauge Fastrack. My Legacy locomotives operates in both Legacy and DCC. I am planning to switch over to DCC for my locomotives In order to use other brand locomotives that work off DCC alongside these. I would like to keep operating my command switches with TMCC. Is this possible? My apologies if this has already been answered, but I could not find a particular discussion on my particular need. Thanks!
I recently moved from Lionel O Legacy to American Flyer S due to space considerations.
