Scale ?
Posted by traindaddy1 on Saturday, June 17, 2023 9:15 PM

Corgi offers several Lionel City vehicles that they list as 1:50 scale.

Based on your experience, would 1:48 scale vehicles work with 1:50 vehicles or would they look out of place?

As always, many thanks.

They'll be fine.  I have everything from 1:50 to 1:43 on the same layout.  A simple trick is to have the larger vehicles closest to the viewer and the smallish ones farther away.  All of my fire engines (pumpers) and buses are 1:50.  I do have a 1:42 Amtrak bucket lift truck, but I place that on the opposite side of the layout.  Being about 5 feet away from each other even though they're both close to the viewer helps, but the scale differential is definitely noticeable.
