Hinged up the roof using hinges from an old Jewelry box..

Looks MUCH better!
Same me, different spelling!
Thanks! got the sheet plastic for free!
Put in the side and rear windows ..due to supply chain issues my local Hobby shop didn't have any clear plastic so I used old CD cases.I couldn't use my usual scribe and break method as the plastic shattered! So I put a cut off wheel in my Dremel and cut out the windows I had to use sandpaper and my Stanley block plane to make them fit.
I haven't said anything but have been watching the progress- is this entirely scratch built? Regardless it's been looking great!I often save plastic salad containers and egg cartons and anything else with large, flat portions of plastic, so I can cut those parts out for use as window glazing. I never thought of CD case material, I imagine there's cases it could work really well for me- a great use for cases that are broken enough I can't use them to hold my CDs, but can make them into windows!-Ellie
Yes it is scratch built apart from the AMT truck chassis.Yes the CD cases worked well in deed!I added fuel tank straps as well as fuel filler tubes .
I obtain bed a Tomica Winnebago at a garage sale and thought to myself "can I build a larger one?"I made a template to cut the sheet plastic out and added wood to the inside structure for strength..
Pieced together a shorty exhaust system..
I made the forward interior trim panels with armrests, which are a laminate of sheet Styrene and Walnut veneer...
Dash and seats installed..
Fitting up the upper grille sections and the front bumper...
Added the rear ladder ,debating whether to extend it or leave it.
