I can't help you with the ZW-C, I'm unfamiliar with that one, but I can tell you a CW-80 will work just fine with post-wars, so don't worry.
In fact, I installed a CW-80 on our clubs train show test track and it works with anything three rail. It powers American Flyer two rail trains as well with no problems.
Hi,
Hoping someone with some experience can help me out with this issue.
I setup a train every year for Xmas, post-war Lionel
The controller I had died this year, I managed to get myself a used ZW-C for a decent price with the two 180-watt bricks (way more than I need for my layout currently, but the price was good)
I've noticed that the two jumper plug are missing to split the power between A & B plus C & D
I only actually need the one power brick plugged in currently for the layout anways (hope to expand in future)
Am I risking damaging the Transformer or Trains without the Jumpers? Is it okay to run with just one power brick and other 3 slots empty?
I have access to a CW-80 Transformer, but read that they cause issues with the post-war trains (which is a non-starter) Is anyone able to confirm that? Or is it safe?
