The wiring diagrams are on Port Lines web site. To test the motor w/o a tender, look at the back of the engine. There are four plug jacks and a soldered 5th wire. Ignore the 5th wire, all it does is supply power to the headlight and smoke unit.

Mentally number the jacks 1 through 4, going from left to right (or sketch it on a piece of paper). Apply power to 1 and 3, jumper 2 and 4 together. To reverse the motor, apply power to 1 and 2, jumper 3 and 4 together.

Hi, looking for a hookup diagram or instructions to bench test a 326 Hudson 5-wire without the tender connected. I've found how to hook this up for a 4-wire, but not finding anything for the 5-wire version. Thanks for any help you can offer!
