Hi all, looking for a parts diagram-exploded view for a Lionel 4090 transformer. It's a updated version of the 1033. My Lionel books (originals) only go to 1962. I remember seeing 1 years ago but can't remeber who had it. And Lionel did exploded views and diagrams of all thier trains into the 80's. Any one have one that can be posted so I can make a copy ?? Thanks.
In between the 1033 and the 4090 was the 1044. It's a lot more similar to the 4090 than the 1033 was, so you may find the 1044 info can be used if you can't find a 4090 diagram.
Same me, different spelling!
You used to be able to access all the service manual documents Lionel put out from some time during the mpc era up to the present day, from the Lionel website- it was 100% free. But around a month ago (I think) I tried to find them and Lionel had done some site re-designing of some sort, and they removed the database of service documents so you can't access them anymore. There are other ways to get these documents iirc, but they aren't free (ie physical book(s), CD-Rs, etc).Becky's right on the mark, the 1044 is a much closer relative to the 4090. I've never been inside of either type of transformer yet so I don't have any real insight to offer as far as servicing goes- but if you're looking to identify a replacement part number, I suspect that most parts for the 1044 will also work with a 4090.-Ellie

This is about as close as you're going to get as there was not a 4090 diagram.1044 Manual Excerpts

Thank you everyone for the advice and thak you Rob for the pages I can copy. Just so strange that my Lionel book os mossing these pages and my MPC books just have a parts listing (incomplete no less)
