Early production 2671W tenders came with a backup light in the rear of the tender. What was the color of the three light lens? Was the tender lettering white or sikver? I thint the cab lettering was silver.
I made mine red-white-red and wired them so that white is on for backing up and both reds are on as tail lights going forward. If you use LEDs, keep in mind that most "white" ones are very blue, so you want to get ones that are dyed to imitate incandescents. LEDs also go on and off much more abruptly than incandescents, so you might want to include a low-pass filter.
