Kughn era Lionel 6-18044 Southern 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive question
Posted by Oldegreybeard on Saturday, September 25, 2021 7:30 AM

I have noticed that that these locomotives are available from time to time. Are there any issues with these locomotives or are they good performers?

I only own a couple of LionChief and one Postwar Locomotive at this time and I've started looking at the other eras.

Thanks in advance. I appreciate any information.

I did some looking for the Lionel Southern Railway 6-18044, found it in the book, and it has a VERY strong resemblance to the Lionel B&O "President Washington" I've got, both from the same time period. About two years between the two.

My B&O 4-6-2 is a great runner and I've never had a problem with it. The Southern version should be just fine, assuming of course it's never been abused.
