  7. Like the No. 19608, the Nos. 9147 (TEXACO), 9331 (UNION) (SEVENTY - SIX) and 9334 (HUMBLE) cars used the No. 6315 body mold introduced in 1956.
  8. For 1948 a (SINGLE) dome car was created for the “(SCOUT)” line.  Unlike the more expensive cars, it’s (LADDER) was molded into the tank body.  The Modern No. 16108 carried (RACING) Fuel and the No. 16149 hauled (ZEP) chemicals in this now standard “starter set” car.
  9. In 1929 the (IVES) No. 122 Tank car was included in only one set.  The No. 490 Universal (FAST) Freight (JUNIOR).  One of the (TRANSITION) cars, it used a Lionel No. 815 (TANK).
  10. American Flyer’s No. 914 was lettered for (KOPPERS), a plastics manufacturer.
  11. The tinplate Marx No. 553 bore lettering for Santa Fe and (MIDDLE) (STATES) Oil.  The plastic “(TRIPLE)-dome” No. 5553 often came lettered for (ALL) State (MOTOR) Oil on it’s (BLUE) tank.
  12. Both the Lionel No. 6302 (QUAKER) State and the Marx No. 19847 (SINCLAIR) cars transported (PETROLEUM) (PRODUCTS).
