Scale compromises
Posted by FJ and G on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 10:28 AM
Fortunately for me, something out of scale doesn't really bother me. I can understand the purist where everything is 1:48, however.

I went thru my inventory and very few items are 1:48. Even the track width is 5 feet (prototypical). Most of my stuff is semi-scale, about 1:58, and there are a few 1:48 pieces.

I went thru my automobile collection and it ranges between 1:58 and most of it is 1:43.

To my untrained eye, however, it seems to fit together in a weird sort of way.
