BEWARE BACKWARDS ANSWERS

1. Ready to earn your (_ _ _ _)?  Become a (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _)?  Well then, let’s take a look at the locos and cars produced between 1971 and 1999 honoring (_ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _ _ _) characters.
2. Shall we start with (_ _ _ _ _ _) power?  There are four options.  One U36B (_ - _ _ _ _), one EP-5 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) and two (_ _ _ _ _) locos; a 2-4-0 and a 4-4-0.  Choose wisely, there were (_ _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _) freight cars produced during these years if you decide to run them all in a single (_ _ _ _ _)!
3. The prettiest locomotive was the No. 18013 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) 35th Anniversary General, loco number “4”.  So pretty in fact, not to mention (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _), that it could be purchased with a (_ _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _) to protect it.
4. Just one flatcar; the No. 6-16724 was (_ _ _ _ _ _) and transported a postwar type operating (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) in 1996.  There was also only one (_ _ _ _ _ _ _), but it was a great one!  Numbered 3444 and lettered “(_ _ _ _ _)”, the No. 6-16760 had Mickey’s (_ _ _) leading a (_ _ _) on a merry chase around a stack of crates.
5. Thirty one of the Disney themed cars were (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) and twenty six of those were high (_ _ _ _) cars.  One of the best boxcars was the No. 6-16686 “Mickey’s Cattle (_ _ _ _ _ _)” which had Mickey and Big Bad (_ _ _ _) bobbing through openings in the roof in classic Wells (_ _ _ _ _) postwar style.
6. Another highly (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) car is the No. 6464-1971 which, obviously, used a 6464 type boxcar to commemorate the 1971 (_ _ _) convention held in (_ _ _ _ _ _ _).  Best of all, the graphics on this car were designed by toy train collector, (_ _ _ _ _ _) gauge steam locomotive owner, legendary Disney (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) and trombonist (_ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _ _ _ _).
7. Many of the high cube boxcars were decorated to match the No. 6-8773 “Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse (_ _ _ _ _ _ _)” U36B diesel from 1977-78.
8. (_ _ _ _ _ _) Duck wore an (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ’ _) hat and bandana on the 9662, and Pluto admired Mickey’s red (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) on the 6-9668.  (_ _ _ _ _), who by the way is NOT a (_ _ _), wore a (_ _ _ _ _ _) hat on his car.
9. Landmark Disney (_ _ _ _ _) were honored as well, including the ground-breaking (_ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _ _) and the Seven Dwarfs (on car 9667) which was the first (_ _ _ _ _ _ _)-length (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) sound film.  It’s also the car that tends to command the (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) price on the collector market.
10. The other four of what Disney fans term “the (_ _ _) five” films were represented on the Nos. 9666 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _), 9671 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) (a film that was too far ahead of it’s time), 9663 (_ _ _ _ _) (Ward Kimball designed (_ _ _ _ _) Junior) and the 9669 (_ _ _ _ _) which bombed at the box office in 1942.
11. Five more high cube cars worth searching for commemorate important Disney (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _).  Well, sort of.  Start with car No. 19241 which commemorates Mickey’s (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) in 1991.  But the first Mickey Mouse cartoon debuted in 1928.
12. 1991 was also the year a boxcar honoring Donald’s (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) was released; the No. 19242.  My favorite quacker debuted in “The Wise Little Hen” in 1934.  So, the Mickey car was late and Donald’s was early.
13. The other three have Mickey at 65 in 1994 and Donald at 60 a year later.  (Car Nos. 19265 and 19270 respectively.)  Unlike the previous pair, these were (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _), which may explain why the numbers were a bit off.
14. Car No. 19246 celebrated the (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) anniversary of (_ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _) during 1992.  Fun fact!  WDW was open, quietly, for a month before it’s 27,500 acres opened to the general public on (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) 1, 1971.  That means the (_ _ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) Park turns 50 this year!
15. Back to your train, you have four options in picking your (_ _ _ _ _ _ _).  The No. 6-9183 has (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) and was made to go with the U36B (_ _ _ _ _ _) Mouse Express in 1977-78.
16. The No. 19723 “Disney” Extended (_ _ _ _ _ _) cabin car from 1994 matches the paint scheme of the EP-5 and goes well with all the high cubes, especially the three (_ _ _ _ _ _) of Mickey and all the cars issued in the 90’s.
17. It’s too bad no one seems to have had the idea that pairing a set of (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) cars, namely the No. 6-9552 Western & (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) coaches from 1977-80, re-lettered “Disneyland Railroad”, would have made a good match for the 1-8008 General.

1. Ready to earn your (EARS)?  Become a (MOUSEKETEER)?  Well then, let’s take a look at the locos and cars produced between 1971 and 1999 honoring (WALT) (DISNEY) characters.
2. Shall we start with (MOTIVE) power?  There are four options.  One U36B (U - BOAT), one EP-5 (RECTIFIER) and two (STEAM) locos; a 2-4-0 and a 4-4-0.  Choose wisely, there were (THIRTY - SEVEN) freight cars produced during these years if you decide to run them all in a single (TRAIN)!
3. The prettiest locomotive was the No. 18013 (DISNEYLAND) 35th Anniversary General, loco number “4”.  So pretty in fact, not to mention (DELICATE), that it could be purchased with a (DISPLAY - CASE) to protect it.
4. 8. (DONALD) Duck wore an (ENGINEER ’ S) hat and bandana on the 9662, and Pluto admired Mickey’s red (LOCOMOTIVE) on the 6-9668.  (GOOFY), who by the way is NOT a (DOG), wore a (COWBOY) hat on his car.
9. Landmark Disney (FILMS) were honored as well, including the ground-breaking (SNOW) (WHITE) and the Seven Dwarfs (on car 9667) which was the first (FEATURE)-length (ANIMATED) sound film.  It’s also the car that tends to command the (HIGHEST) price on the collector market.
10. The other four of what Disney fans term “the (BIG) five” films were represented on the Nos. 9666 (PINOCCHIO), 9671 (FANTASIA) (a film that was too far ahead of it’s time), 9663 (DUMBO) (Ward Kimball designed (CASEY) Junior) and the 9669 (BAMBI) which bombed at the box office in 1942.

17. It’s too bad no one seems to have had the idea that pairing a set of (PASSENGER) cars, namely the No. 6-9552 Western & (ATLANTIC) coaches from 1977-80, re-lettered “Disneyland Railroad”, would have made a good match for the 1-8008 General.
