Hey everyone, the Virginia Train Collectors are holding a TWO day train show on May 22-23 of this year! At least 80+ tables are planned, PLUS an open-house by the River City Three Railers operating train club right next door!
Saturday the 22d from 10:00 to 4:00, Sunday the 23d from 10:00 to 3:00.
The location will be:
Westchester Commons Shopping Mall (Between Target and Regal Cinema)
301 Perimeter Dr, Midlothian VA 23113
Admission: $6.00 adults (for two days!) children 12 and under free.
Handicap accessable, limited restroom capacity though.
Right now it looks good, but please check the Virginia Train Collectors website for updates, you know how it is, right? Things can change.

So keep your fingers crossed, we ALL need a show!
I'll post any updates if and when I hear of any.

There's a Show March 14th at the Blair County Convention Center near Altoona Pa.. Usually a nice little show although dealers and attendees were down in November .

Out here, the shows are probably not as big as on the coasts, but we have some interesting ones.
It's good to see that they are trying to make comeback!
This starts with the Boot Hill Train Show in Garden City, KS March 13-14.
Here's a list of shows for the next couple of months if you live in the middle of the U.S.:

I'm so glad to see this. There's light at the end of the tunnel!

Man, let's hope so! Our show director's told me he's been fielding questions for months from people asking "When is there going to be another show?"
The hobby's hot for them, no doubt about it. Even if folks don't get anything at the shows they still enjoy the festival atmosphere and cameraderie.

Yes, I was there in November, and I'll be there on the 14th. As you say, usually a good show, and hopefully it'll be back to normal this time around.
Just bumping this back to the head of the page!
The show's still a GO, and the amount of tables is up to 100 now!
I'm so glad that events are being held again. During 2020 I missed them a lot
V8VegaTTOS was big here 20 years ago, I don't know why it fell off so much.
Didn't TTOS merge with someone else not long ago? Maybe that's what happened?

Both TTOS and LCCA are separate and still functioning. I am a member of both.

Well if you live in Virginia come and see us! You'll have fun!
And there's this from trainshow.com:

Just bumping this up to the top of the page again.
We've got 100 tables of exhibitors sold out!
It's going to be fun, so come on down if you can!
(Cheaper than taking the family to the movies or a ball game anyway!)
One more bump-up.
This weekend's the one folks! I spent the morning assisting in setting up tables, all 100 of them.
Ow. Ow.
So come see us and make all my pain worth it!
Well, the weekend's come and gone and we had a VERY successful show! Quite a good turn-out for the two days, and both visitors and vendors went away happy!
My thanks to all of you who managed to attend!
The next one will be in Charlottesville (Keswick) VA on August 28th, but more on that as the time approaches.
Woohoo! A slice of normality for a change!
Same me, different spelling!
pennytrains Woohoo! A slice of normality for a change!
And we needed it! Everybody needed it!
By the way, I scored one of these, it's been eluding me for years!

I sold a buncha stuff I wasn't using anymore, or couldn't figure out why I bought it in the first place, so in a way other people paid for it for me!
Oh yeah! Welcome to the club!
Oh-so-cool Becky! Next on the want list is a 2035 "Blockbuster" like you've got.
I'm patient. I can wait. I haven't run into "the" Blockbuster yet, so the hunt goes on.
PS: How'd that Dreyfuss find it's way over to Thailand? I though my layout was "The Lost Locomotive Line," you know? Where anything might show up?
Well it doesn't matter much now. The "Thailand" flew the coop on Monday in black plastic bags along with my Standard Gauge buildings and a lot of other stuff. But the Dreyfuss STAYS!
Well actually it's come and gone, but I found out a few minutes ago someone was shootin' movies there. Story of my life, nobody tells me anything, I had no idea.
Anyway, here it is, a brief vignette of out two-day show, plus some shots of the River City 3-Railers club layouts next door.
No, I'm not in it.

We may have another two-day show at the same location in November, the date's to be determined. I'll keep you posted.
