I have used similar to these for control & signaling, using insulated rails to trigger the relays power through rectifiers for the DC.

Or look in the November CTT for my article, "The Kalmbach block-signal circuit", on page 54 for a way to operate your signal without using a relay.

SPDT relay
Posted by SALVATORE DIFEDE on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 1:14 PM

Read in the February 2021 issue about how to control the signal lights on a #450 signal bridge with a SPDT relay. I'm running Lionel trains with a ZW transformer. Where can I get the relay, what are the specs of what I ask for?  Do I run it off of track power?
