BEWARE BACKWARDS ANSWERS.

  1. The No. 3021 (PREMIER) Line O-72 (UNION) Pacific 4-8-8-4 (BIG-BOY) graced the cover of the Spring 1997 catalog.
  2. Early extruded (ALUMINUM) passenger cars like those of the No. 6508 (RED), white and (BLUE) striped (AMTRAK) 5-car set had (SILHOUETTES) in their windows.
  3. (RAIL-KING) passenger car sets like the No. 6080S NYC (STREAMLINED) and 30-6240 Crescent (MADISON) style heavyweights had unpainted (INTERIORS).
  4. Two more U.P. locos of note were the No. 2009 Gas (TURBINE) “Big (BLOW)” of 1997 and the No. 20-2178 DD40AX “(CENTENNIAL)” of 1998.  The latter shared a (FOLD)-out with the No. 20-3025 S.P. AC-6 (CAB-FORWARD), a (FIRST) for mass-produced (DIE-CAST) locos in O gauge.
  5. Another monster-sized loco joining the O-31 roster in 97 was the no. 1116 C&O (ALLEGHENY) H-8 2-6-6-6, which could be optionally equipped with QSI’s (PROTO-SOUND).
  6. Item No. 1065 was a (READY-TO-RUN) set with a D&RG Pacific and three Madison cars in the (SKI) Train livery.  While the set included an O-31 (RITE)-Trax oval, this set like many others of the period, was advertised as being O-(TWENTY-SEVEN) compatible.
