Beginners needing TMCC help
Posted by LionelFM2321 on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 8:05 AM

We recently purchased a used TMCC set up for our new train layout that we are constructing.  It initially worked fine but we decided to make some changes to the table construction so we removed the track to complete this.  Once we hooked it back up and attempted to operate the trains with the hand held unit,  the trains take off at full speed. You cannot control the speed with the CAB one hand held. This happened with both our TMCC equipped engine and an older conventional steam engine with e unit.  We double checked the wiring and it is correct.  Any ideas on what the problem might be??

My guess would be that you plugged the Command Base wall wart into an extension cord or power strip.
