Not sure but wanted to bump this up.  Have you tried removing batteries from remote and reinstalling them?

Does this train also have bluetooth?  If so, try getting the bluetooth app and run from a phone.

Otherwise, hoping someone else will chime in.

Brand New Loco Stopped Running
Posted by Brandnewlionel on Friday, December 4, 2020 6:13 PM

Got a Lionel Pennsylvania Flyer starter set. Was running great for a couple weeks. Just added some more track to it. Was running fine then accidentally shutoff the remote as the train was running. The loco now will no longer run. I have powered everything off and on, removed cars, wiped the track off with dry towel, took out the extra track. Nothing seems to work. The only thing I can pin it back to us when I shut off the remote accidentally while it was running, but not sure if that would be a problem. The lights on the loco and all the sounds in the tender still work fine, so power seems to be adequate.
