Daleks? I thought they were salt shakers...
As if I needed a reminder to cut back on sodium.
Oh, those pesky Daleks again, won't they ever go away?
Speaking of Halloween, ever hear of "The Halloween Central?"
It's the Arcade and Attica Railroad up in New York State. They chose black and orange as their equipment colors, don't know why, and they've been called "The Halloween Central" ever since. Have a look.

EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!
That's the style, Northwoods! Good looking outfit.
Now, I encourage the rest of you to share your Halloween themed layouts and Spooky displays over the next 2 SPF's.
Maybe CTT could dedicate a fall issue next year to Halloween layouts. How about bringing DEPT 56 and LEMAX on board as advertisers? Perhaps Michael's or Hobby Lobby would like to print one of their coupons in the magazine?
The Ives Wide Gauge "Tiger Set" makes a nice Halloween set.
It looks even better with an extra car. The Pumpkin Train.

"The Toy For the Boy"
Back in 2004, the LCCA folks presented the wonderful Halloween General set (LIONEL 6-52300). A very successful advertising campaign made the reissue highly sought after by collectors.
I mocked up a little spooky scene to highlight the 1882.
Here's a pic from the "way back" machine, on the former layout.
