Help for wiring a lionel 6-5906 sound activation button

Need some advice on how to propertly wire a lionel 6-5906 sound activation button using Fastrack with a lionel 275 watt ZW transfomer, Thank You, Frank

Connect it in series with the wire going to the center rail.  That is, transformer terminal--one 6-5906 terminal, then other 6-5906 terminal--center rail.  To change between whistle and bell, swap the 6-5906 terminals.

Bob, would you happen to have a rough sketch on this , I don't know that much on the wiring side due to the many different feedback results I have been receiving lately, just trying to not fry the electronics, Thank You Sir, Frank

Say you have the outer rail connected to post U and the inner rail connected to post A (or B or C or D).  Disconnect the A wire from the ZW, and connect it to either one of the wires from the button.  Connect the other wire from the button back to post A.  If you don't get the result you wanted (bell or whistle/horn), reverse the two wires from the button.
