Did y'all spot the eagle in the pics? If you ride the Potomac Eagle (Romney,WV), you will most likely spot an eagle or two, as the tourist train snakes through the Trough.
The rocks jutting out of the river are actually Dept. 56 pieces (possibly Halloween themed?), that I picked up at a yard sale years ago. I only painted them up to match the canyon walls, which are all hand-carved.
Fantastic work! Museum quality, and that's no joke on my part.

Focusing (heh-heh,punny) on the Trough area of the layout this weekend. Let's go back to March 2018, when the youngest princess was starting to carve into the blue insulation board.
Then progress really started coming together this past Spring.
Today, we have Darlene pulling the local along the South Branch River.
And Ginger with the lone, daily scheduled passenger train passing Eagle Rock.
