POSTWAR CABOOSES
51 WORDS

  1. Lionel’s first (_ _ _ _ _) car in 1945 was the No. 2457 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _).  It had a (_ _ _ _ _) body and (_ _ _) window trim with (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) markings.
  2. The American Flyer No. 907 (_ _ _ _) caboose worked as a (_ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _) to the No. 944 Industrial Brownhoist model at a (_ _ _ _ _) site.
  3. The most prolific caboose of the postwar era is probably Lionel’s (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _)                  (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _), which could be the (_ _ _ _ _ _) red No. 6457 with window                (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) and a bright (_ _ _ _ _) inside, metal (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) and (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) on the platform (_ _ _ _ _ _ _)s, a (_ _ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _) on the roof and (_ _ _ _ _ _ _)             (_ _ _ _ _) on the frame.
  4. On (_ _ _ _ _) and other starter set cars like the Nos. 1007 or 6007, (_ _ _) of those details were removed.
  5. A rare version of the Lionel No. 6417 (_ - _ _ _ _ - _) Pennsy (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) caboose lacks the (_ _ _) (_ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _) markings.
  6. The classic American Flyer No. 630 was manufactured from 1946 to 53 and cane first with    (_ _ _ _) and later (_ _ _ _ _ _) couplers.  Beware of a broken (_ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _) when acquiring these cars.
  7. Introduced in 1955, the No. 6517 (_ _ _ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _ _) was based on a (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) design of the (_ _ _ _) Railroad.  It’s markings include the slogan “For (_ _ _ _ _ _), For         (_ _ _ _ _ _ _)” and (_ _ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) inside a lightning bolt motif.
  8. The Lionel No. 6814 doesn’t have a (_ _ _ _ _ _), but it does have (_ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _) markings, a blue (_ _ _) and stretchers and oxygen tanks in it’s (_ _ _ _) compartments.
  9. If you like (_ _ _ _) (_ _ _) paint, look for the No. 6257X which had (_ _ _) nuckle couplers.  Be aware you must have the original (_ _ _) to verify the “X” variation of this car.
  10. Yellow and blue are common to both the No. 6027 (_ _ _ _ _ _) RR SP-type and the No. 6427-60 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) N5c porthole model.
  11. The Nos. 2420 and 6420 (_ _ - _ _ _ - _) Railroad (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) cabooses are identical except for their couplers.
