TCA york possible delay
Posted by rrlineman on Monday, March 16, 2020 2:34 PM

In case anyone is iterested, My brother told me that on one of the train forums he's a member of, someone stated the Spring York meet was cancelled. I just check with the TCA home office. The lady states that the Eastern Div of the TCA that hosts the show will have a meeting on Wednesday to discuss and decide what to do. As the meet is near the end of April I don't think they will cancel the show myself.  Folks have to stop getting paranoid about this virus !! stuff is getting crazy.

I saw that the fairgrounds cancelled it not the TCA. All events cancelled until after May 10 I think.  Wayne

The show my club was to have yesterday was cancelled, but by the venue, not us.

I'm not a TCA member myself but if I was I'd wait for the official word from them.

I concur, this virus panic is getting out of hand.  I was at the supermarket about an hour ago for some odds n' ends and went down the paper products aisle out of curiousity.  Uh-huh, wiped out of toilet paper.  Why?  There's no problem with the supply chain for any products, this buying and hoarding is asinine!

buying and hoarding

Yes, well, never underestimate the gouge.  I suspect we'll soon be hearing of ridiculous prices for the Charmin on Ebay and Craig's List and whatever.  Sad

There's a line toward the end of the Ray Milland movie "Panic!  In Year Zero" where the doctor says "Our country is still full of lying, murdering, patriots."

Trains, trains, wonderful trains.  The more you get, the more you toot!  Big Smile

I am guilty of hoarding also. Just got two more American Models SP GE U25s off of E-bay delivered today! Don't need any toilet paper however. LOL

Very understandable.  I bought a set of Williams Baldwin "Sharks" in the classic B&O scheme back in February.

I'm not a diesel fan, or a B&O fan particularly, but they don't make 'em anymore, the price was oh-so-right, I like Williams products, and Baldwin "Sharks" are oh-so-cool!
