Hello NJP,

Welcome to the CTT forum.

Here is a drawing from Olsen's Train Parts:

Olsen's has replacement e-units.

You can also try www.georgetebolt.com.

Good luck!

Help for a new guy with a 1930 lionel 260 E

Greetings all,

I am restoring my Dads old 1930 Lionel 260 e O guage. I was hoping to get some advice from the group on a good source for schematics and parts lists. I have ordered:

"Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Prewar Parts and Instruction Sheets" ISBN 0897780590

I also have a more basic beginners guide that is real popular but that I can't think of the name right now. Im new at restoring trains but so far I've got it cleaned up and running other than what appears to be a short in the reversing unit (all of the wires in and out are in pretty bad shape) Right now Im trying to figure out whether to try and replace the unit or if I will have to rebuild it.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
A FNG (friendly new guy)
