What day of the month does Classic Toy Trains usually come out?

I went to the local Barnes and Noble Booksellers, and I noticed there were only two copies left.  I hadn't looked for it in awhile, because I'd subscribed for a few years.  I may subscribe again, but I don't want to miss an issue while thinking about it.  Does anyone know which day of the month CTT usually hits the stands?

Hello,

The next issue out is May (CTT is bimonthly during the spring and summer). It's on stands April 7. After that is July, on newsstands June 2.

I've collected every single issue since #1, and I never knew when to expect it at my local book store.  Since my 3 or 4 year subscription lapsed, I've been wondering how many freebies I've missed that came polybagged with CTT from 2015-2019.  Is July still the month when the supplements are included?

I just sent an email to ask about the bagging of booklets. Since we don't see these, I don't know what the schedule is. I'll get back to you on that.

Generally, new CTTs go on the stands the first Tuesday of the month (except for off-issue months).

I've subscribed for years and I can't remember the last time a supplement was included. I do remember they used to be sent. Maybe I just didn't get them since I've had more than one delivery problem over the last three years when I had to have a replacement issue sent. Boy, that was a challenge each tims.     Wayne

I got an answer, and we haven't done a bagged booklet in several years, so the OP likely hasn't missed anything.

Thanks!

Is there one planned for this year?

We are in the early stages of planning the July issue now, and since we haven't heard anything, we are guessing there will not be one for 2020.

We have made several PDF booklets that are available (for instance, sign up for our emails, subscribe, etc.) instead.

What I'd like is a place on the web site where I can check my subscription status.  Seems basic to me, perhaps I missed the link...

Check your issue when it shows up, there should be a subscription expiration date on the mailing label.

I'm as " old school" as they get, and I never thought I would ever do this: I opted for the digital subscription this time. After moving 50 years of train magazines when we moved, I finally got it ! I still have Model Railroader magazines from the late '60's, and every train magazine I ever purchased.

It's my cross to bear...

Personally I'm not interested in a digital subscription, I like the paper "hard copy" and besides, I'm NOT taking the lap-top into the bathroom!  Things can happen in there, and beside, I've only got two hands!   Embarrassed

I've never had a "pile-o-mags" problem, I keep some of the better ones, the rest go to the mag table at the gym.  Most are gone in 24 to 48 hours.  Maybe I'm helping the hobby?  Hope so.
