I happened to be in the Philadelphia area for work last month and my trip took me to within a couple of miles of Hennings, so I looked up their address and stopped in and had a nice conversation with Harry and bought a pile of reproduction wheels for American Flyer O gauge.
Yeah Jon, you see I'm lucky. I've got family in that neck of the woods and we usually head up that way for Thanksgiving, so I've been able to squeeze in visits to Hennings with no trouble. Last visit I got a Lionel NYO&W Camelback, the visit before that a set of six Lionel 027 PRR streamline cars, and before that a Lionel 681. I usually leave with the wallet lighter but hey, nobody MAKES me go in there!

Unfortunately I live in the midwest so I have to go by reputation and also how they treated me on the phone\correspondence, which was great. Maybe someday I can make it out to thier store.

They sure are! I'm looking forward to my next visit, which probably won't be until November, but that's OK, gives me time to save up for it!
FYI, the fourth time was the charm. I called and got a response back from Henning's, the replacement part is a Lionel part listed below. They're good people!
Does anyone know of a source for replacing this rivet that connects the couplers to the electric engines frames for the American Flyer Wide gauge electrics? I tried the train tender and he said in 35 years no one has ever asked for this part. I haven't gotten a response from Hennings either. I looked it up in the Olsen's library but they don't have it listed for sale in thier parts pages. I can't be the only person who has replaced this shoulder rivet can I?
