Bob Keller’s BNSF ET44C4 Review.

I would like to commend Bob on his review of this Lionel starter set in the February issue of CTT. He described the engine in great detail and even brought to light some things I have not seen.
I would like to add to his review just one observation I have made with the one we have and that is the pulling power. I am very impressed and happy with the ability of this engine to not drop but the slightest amount of speed when climbing the grade on our layout.  Most everything but my LionChief Plus with speed control require help and added power to climb the grade. This goes up in stride and makes it impressive for a starter engine to be sure.
Here is ours climbing a grade with an eight car consist.

That's impressive all right!

And I'm sure you're just as glad as I am, and everyone else for that matter, that Bob's back in the bullpen!
