bought a used Weaver models FA-1, the female body castings for the machine screws which mate frame to body have broken . Any advise on how to repair or another way to secure body to frame.
thanks

The only thing I can think of is use a thick expoxy glue to build up what's left, and then drill some pilot holes to accept the screws.
An extreme way of doing it would be to try and totally remove what's left, then epoxy some wood dowels of appropriate size in their place, and then drill pilot holes for the screws.
That's what I'd do, maybe I'm wrong, but there's sure no way to make the missing plastic grow back!
Aside from that, I'm not sure what you can do.
I agree with Flintlock on totally removing what is left and replace with a new dowel.
Evergreen Scale models sells different sizes of polystyrene rod that is solid which may work also.
Thank you for the advice, I agree with your suggestions. giving it a try.
Thanks for the advice, going to give it a try.
