StPaul,

Thank you very much for the kind comments.

I have been working with DCS since about July of 2002, if memory serves. I have spent a lot of time with the "Brain Trust" on the OGR DCS Forum, so much of the information was learned form them or is passed on from them. They are a great group of people.

StPaul, my brain just turned 48, so we are in the same boat.

Guys, I may be bugging you all next week or the next. Adding TMCC to my DCS and got a TMCC engine on the way. I think I understand it but may say, "Splain it to me Lucy." [:)]

faricelli,

You only have to set the TMCC switch to program if you want to change the TMCC I.D. number. If not, don't worry about it. Just assign the same TMCC I.D. number that you are already using when you enter the engine in the DCS Handheld.

Remember that when you add your TMCC locomotive to the DCS Handheld, you still have to tell DCS what TMCC I.D. number the locomotive is. The DCS I.D. number (basically the next available number in the Handheld) is not the TMCC I.D. number.

Adding TMCC engine to DCS

I finally broke down and bought the dcs system. I have always used Cab-1. I had decided to switch after I had to have the new MTH N.S. Dash 9. Upon looking over the instructions I could not find anything about whether I had to turn my Tmcc engine to program upon adding it to DCS. I was wondering if anyone could help a newbie out?
