Next time try Henning's Trains in Landsdale PA. Harry works on all major types of standard gauge trains and has wheel, parts and paints for restoration.

I'm not sure about Olsen Toy's website though, anyone else ever buy Olsen's Repair cd library?

I have. See my response to your specific post re the Olsens CD.

Me too. I haven't seen or found much reference material out there for illustrated parts break down or schematics for these old standard gauge Flyers. I did see a CD with info on them here:

I picked up another engine(the 4644 pictured) that was complete and took one of each screw out to home depot to find the correct size and then I went and found an eBayer who sells special hardware for standard gauge trains:

Did you figure it out by trial and error or were you able to find a reference source?

Thanks, swede

FYI, I was able to find the answer. 4-40 for the frame to the motor screws and 6-32 for the body to the frame. 3/16th or 1/4 inch length.

AF Flyer Wide Gauge Electric mounting screws question
Posted by JonEddy on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 11:44 PM

Does anyone know what size screws are used for mounting the motor to the engine frame on the Flyer wide gauge electric motors and the two screws that connect the sides to the motor?

    Thanks!

         Jon
