How hard would it be to just add a link in the topic that went right to that blog.

Aw c'mon, they're not THAT hard to find and get into. If all-thumbs throwback me can figure it out anyone should be able to figure it out.
See? I even figured out how to change the color of the print!
Ditto! They should leave the blogs on the top of the main Forum.
Banks Just to let everyone know.......I forgot I was even signed up for this. I am guessing this place is not too active? I saw my one and only friend I have listed here, it was Teledoc. Sad to inform everyone who sees this that he passed away not too long after he posted the above post. Back in December of 2019. He had just taken a cruise with the wife. It was a couple of weeks after his return that he passed away. Rest in Peace Jerry, aka Teledoc. teledoc When I returned to the hobby, I was interested in reviving my 1615 switcher, and needed help with getting things working again. I received some of the needed answers, and other tips. The magazine became the only one "CTT", that I still subscribe to. Since then, this forum has gone through upgrades, which has turned into a forum, that has lost many useful features, and is less user friendly than its original days of me joinin. Gone are days of knowing who was presently active at any given time. The option to post photos is too complicated to be of use. A lot of recent posts have moved away from providing useful answers, to repair the older Postwar trains, or providing info on the more modern cops, and their respective operating systems, such as TMCC, DCS, LEGACY, etc.. For the most part, the forum is a lot like a simple "Chatroom" atmosphere. As NWL posted, not everyone is interested in Blogs, which I don't participate in. The magazine of CTT, has become smaller with content also, to the point that I may drop my subscription entirely. The search function is crippled, compared to years ago. The magazine needs more content, compared to the price of a subscriptio. The forum needs some major overhauling, and making the photo posting easier, to eliminate having to use 3rd party websites, and allow posting irectly from your own computer. I used to log in every day, in the beginnin, but I am lucky to log in 2 to 3 times a month. This pretty much sums up why the forum and blogs are dead

Just to add to this. I personally don't visit the blogs that often, because I'm lazy! Yes lazy. I guess that's what you would call it. I'm not in love with my phone like some are, and don't enjoy extra navigation. I like doing what I want to do as quick as I can and be done with it. The fact that you have to click off the current Forum you are on, to go visit the blog in the community section is just too much work for me! LOL. I'm adding a little humor, but it's basically true. I think I would visit them much more often if they were at the top of the page, able to be opened.
Well, I told you I was going to do something! Marines keep their word, even if they're at an age where they couldn't fit in their old Dress Blues if their lives depended on it! (Jeez! How'd that happen?!"
Semper Fi!
Well, I never expected this thread, but I sure appreciate it. And I do keep all of your suggestions in mind. Bob reads the forum too and I know he'll take any and all ideas.

There's WAY more activity, both viewing and responding, over on the facebook page. I don't use it myself, I don't quite trust Zucky the berg. But that's where most things go before they show up on the forum/blog.
Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
Perhaps its time for those of us who just read to make a New Year's resolution to make at least 2 postings (need I add positive, affirming or helpful) per day. I recently retired and hope to have more time to post. So far that hasn't happened, but tomorrow is another day! I certainly hope to make additional postings to the Pre War Flyer thread and stir up some interest.

Aw, forget those grumpy old men on the "Trains" Forum, this one's a lot more fun!
So's the "Classic Trains" Forum!
OK, I'm on the "Trains" Forum myself, but I'm one of the good commenters!
Nobody reads the Forum let alone the blogs! Come on guys we got to get this thing going! I'm guilty myself of not participating much in this forum because it seems like there's little to no interest or replies. The other forum someone will post a stupid comment that doesn't even warrant looking at, and it gets a hundred responses.
Look folks, Bob and Rene go through a lot of trouble coming up with things in the "Blog" section that they hope are interesting, helpful, and entertaining, so WHY are there so few responses? These folks work hard for you!
Read those blogs, and if you like 'em, say so! Thats an order!
Now turn to and get busy!
