Wondering if there is info out there on the various incarnations of Lionel's Standard Gauge tubular track during the 1906-1942 era ?I have a quantity of track that I picked-up with most of a #40 Outfit ( #38 loco, #35 (x2) and #36 coaches), which has grayish-green appearing ties ( 3 for the straight track, 4 for the curves ), which appears to be some sort of chemical coloring (as opposed to paint). Some of the ties are lightly stamped "Lionel" on one end, and "NY" on the opposite end (same tie). Some sections may have one or two sections stamped, other sections no stamp at all.I have two #21 manual switches with absolutely no markings whatsoever.Wondering what other variations there are in Lionel Standard Gauge track ?Thanks,Fran McM.
Are there any owners of intact, original Lionel SG outfits, that can comment on track type, and date range ?Thanks ! Fran McM
