Article(s) on Lionel catalogues from the fifties
Posted by waltrapp on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 7:10 AM
Does anyone recall reading an article, or articles, within the last year or 2 comparing Lionel catalogues from the fifties? I believe the article(s) even ranked them based on the author's opinions.

I looked thru CTT back issues for the last 3 years and didn't see it. A friend said that he checked the TCA quarterly for the last 2 years and didn't see it.

My friend and I both recall the article(s) though.

as always, thanks - walt

Walt,

Joe Algozzini discusses and rates the Lionel catalogues in the September 2003 issue of CTT. I think this is the article you are referring to.

Thanks Lou: I saw that article and thought it was only about the 1956 catalogue. I'll have to go back and read it this time.

thanks

Joe picks his top 5 postwar Lionel catalogues this issue (September 2003). Forum member David Vergun's layout is also featured.
