Thanks Mr. Rob! Either you've seen a much better print of the show than I did, or you remember it from the first broadcast and have one incredible memory!

None of the above - I watched the clip referenced last night.

...PS:  I recognized the "Texas Special,"  but I'm not sure of the steamer.

Ricky's is a 2065, the one running on the layout with the 2245 is a 736. There's a 623 parked on a siding.

Love watching those old shows. Saw this one a year or so ago. Never thought to share. Thanks.   There is a Leave it to Beaver episode that features trains too.

It's possible Becky.  The thing is, the resolution on the video's just not good enough to tell.

Not something I'm going to lose any sleep over.  It was a fun show just the same!

Just a guess of course, but I'm thinking 224, possibly the early square cab floor version.

Trains, trains, wonderful trains.  The more you get, the more you toot!  Big Smile

A vintage "Ozzie and Harriet" episode concerning Ricky's Lionel set!

This was brought to my attention by frequent "Classic Trains" Forum poster "Miningman,"  and it's fun!

Also goes to show the more things change, the more they stay the same.
