After giving Mrs. Buckeye her new snow shovel for Christmas, it was a challenge to top that for something awesome to do on New Years. I decided to take her to see the train layout at Oglebay Park, Wheeling, WV. The following photos are just some of the neat parts of the year around layout at the park. [:D]

Note the steamboat traveling down the river.

Has been a long time posting pics, but here we go:

This is the trainroom after isolation, a roofwindow and isolation under the trackwork to prevent too much noise.

A railroad crossing I found in a garden shop, made by lemax.

Doug, email it to the old man [Jim Duda]. He send me mine back reduced and ready to add. I just stored it in my pictures in computer, added it to Shutterfly and then to the forum. Be sure to save the changes.

TOM
I have been there when they were in the old stadium. That was one of the best places to watch a game, there was nobody there and we would watch an inning in our regular seats then go wayout in ceter feild and watch there and go somewhere else until the bottom of the ninth then sit behind homeplate. We would go out bout once a year. The new stadium I haven't got there yet. Maybe this year?
I used to listen to them on that channel WWWE 1100 AM do they still broadcast the Tribe?

They have a bunch of guys that let the other team hit balls at them. Is that baseball or dodge ball [?]

Laz - I believe so, but I never listen to it. I have been the the new statuim several times. It's was great when we had a team of baseball players there.

LAz - I noticed that your close ups are a little out of focus. Most digital camera
has a setting called macro. The icon may look like a flower. This is for
very close ups. You can have the camera only an inch or two away. Check if
you have it.
