Easy buttons for kids to operate

Hi all,
I want to make my layout have a few big push buttons that kids can pu***o operate accessories such as a crossing gate. I have seen the lionel big red buttons, but those are scarce. I have looked at Jameco, but I don't know what voltage or amp to use.

I appreciate any help in advance.

The voltage rating isn't the important one, as most of the switches are rated at 125VAC, and our trains use at most 22 VAC
As long as you use a switch with a 3 amp rating, you should have no problems. If a 3A switch is not available, then 6A will do.

The size of the button isn't as important as the space around the button and keeping them within easy reach. Instead of putting buttons on a control panel, I've found (for this particular purpose) it is better to locate the buttons near the accessory that is to be operated. The kids will quickly learn which button controls what just by location association... just from my observations and experience.
