WOW I hope it's wiring friendly to those of us non wiring guru's . I'll bet it's not cheap but at 1000.00-1800.00 per engine these days it can't be any more??? Just had to share this with everybody even if you all new of it. are any of you allready into computer controls if so tell me the good&bad side if any. thx paul

I'm still waiting for more information. TA Studio's website hasn't been updated since August. Another company called KAM Industries is also making layout control software. KAM's software is fairly inexpensive, at about $250 for the package, but it is not specificly designed for Lionel.

This is why DCS has never appealed to me.

big boy your from my home state but now reside in arizona. I take it you don't have DCS it's a lot of work if your not a wiring wiz 2- wire hook up ain't as it seems as you have to resort to a 18 volt bulb to make a 300.00 system work . it's okay but after getin my ps-1's goin again I found the simplistic reason I enjoy runin trains again. I have TMCC as well I've heard others had signal troubles with it but I never had that or any other issues with it. between the 2 I find TMCC much easier to work with it just doesn't run ps-2 in command but runs it in conv mode & no signal issues to deal with. I know the DCS folk will give me flak but its true. I also believe MTH to be odd man out. some where I read that MTH refuses to adhere to HO NMRA specs so his system is compatible with any ones system in that gauge I hope the HO folks convince him to join there way of getting along if not he will fail to grab a market share those folks are a force to be reconed with if crossed. can't say I blame them they went to great lengths to get all manfs to be compatible across the board so to speak. hope you & all others on this site have a great NEW YEAR!!! paul out

Stpaul, you've got flak. You've been mislead about wiring problems an DCS. This has been discussed over and over here so I will not go into it. [;)]
