I'm searching to find some affordable 1940's vintage vehicles for my 0 gauge layout in 1:43 scale, cars & trucks; and especially a logging truck. I'm not interested in the expensive collectors price class types.
Thanks,

Rod,
I have found these to be nice and not high priced. Now they were not made in the 40s but fit the date. Maybe you could kit bash one into a logging truck

Try Menards.
I was at DOLLAR GENERAL yesterday, and noticed a nice cross-section of 1/43 vehicles, some from the mid-50's.
Our local CVS had scads of them on endcaps - they seem to pop up during the holidays in their toy section, also our local Dollar General had them too, like Fife mentioned, and also our Super-Walmart. I found a nice firetruck. The ones I saw under bubbles at Menards looked very close to scale too. They were a bit pricier.
