webenda Nice scene EIS2.
Nice scene EIS2.
That is very interesting that you could get the photo, but this website could not. I wondered how you were able to get the photo so I went to the post and clicked the 'question mark' and the photo showed up on another website. BTW, I have used that exact same technique (posting a public link to a photo in Dropbox) before and it worked fine. I don't know why it didn't work this time.
Anyway, here is the reason I wanted to post the picture:
I intended to paint snow covered hills with a slate blue sky for a backdrop for my Christmas village scene. I carried the backdrop into the house upside down and discovered that it actually looks better upside down. Now it looks like mountains with snow clouds. Some folks probably intentionally paint things that can be viewed either right side up or upside down. I suspect i am the first one to do it accidentally.

EIS2, F.Y.I., I used Flickr to host your image and BB Code (one of the formates Flickr offers for image sharing) to post it.
..........Wayne..........
Yes, when I paste the link in my browser window, the picture shows up.
If you can type the link address of just your picture in your browser and see it, then putting that exact same address in the "Insert/edit image" button should work.
EIS2...What else do I have to do to get the photo to show.
That all sounds very complicated.
Just upload your picture you want to embed to www.tinypic.com.-Click on the "view full size image" link at tinypic.-Click on the image.-Copy the URL.-Click on the photo icon:
-Paste the url & click OK in the dialog box.

There are many funny little things happening with the share sites. For example, Becky walked me through how to post from Flickr. It worked that one time only. I have followed the same instructions again, but it will not post.
So far, Shutterfly has worked well for me nearly 100% of the time. I am using an IPad mini 4, and this combination works well for me, but can't say it will work across the board for everyone 'S individual computers.
I think there are compatibility issues with the different operating systems, and how they interact with the share sites.

I followed Bob Keller's "How to post photos" thread. I resized the image to 91KB. I placed the photo in my Dropbox and created a public link to the photo and put the URL in the source box, but all I get is a question mark for the photo. What else do I have to do to get the photo to show.
