Mike,
That is correct. I originally just wired it to my 14 volt accessory barrier strip. I have since wired it to a SPST swtich to turn its power on and off.

Good luck.

I note that the manual shows the second set of A-U terminals connected vs the pair I actually used. The two sets of terminals should be internally connected as this was done to allow "daisy chaining" of power connections between various TMCC components. In other words, theoretically it should not matter which pair of A-U terminals you use.

Roy

Thanks Roy,

I'll retry the wiring when I get home to night.

BTW - there is a reset procedure in the manual on page 11. You might try this.

I have one of these on loan from a friend as he had no room for it at this time. It works fine without TMCC.

It was a bit tedious to get the wires into the tiny power connection terminals on the controller box. You might double check and make sure they are making good contact and are on the correct two terminals. I connected to the two A-U terminals on the far right when the controller is right side up and terminals are facing you.

Otherwise - you may have a problem with its internal AC-DC supply which means a trip to the repair shop.

Roy

Mark,

I take it that you were able to plug and play with your crane out of the box?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi,
I have this very same crane and am using it in conventional mode (waiting on delivery of my command cable). I run it at 14 volts and it seems to work just fine.

AMC/ARC Gantry Crane No. 6-24114 - HELP

Is anyone operating this Gantry Crane without TMCC?

I'm having a problem with one my son and I received at Christmas.[V] It does not seem to be receiving enough power to move the crane up/down, side to side or power up the magnet.

Page 9 of the instructions describes fine tuning the operation of the gantry crane, but only if you're using TMCC. That's my next purchase...for right now I'm using the controller that came with the crane in conventrional mode. I suspect that there is a speed/power setting that needs to be adjusted, but I don't know how to adjust. Anyone out there that has experienced the same thing and found a solution?[?][?][?]
