Old School

I am new to this and love the old trains. I collect MARX trains.  I need to know how much track or how long of  a track will a controller / transformer run. All my trains and equipment is is pre 1960. I have several trains and want to start setting them up.

No limit on the amount of track. You may find that you need to add extra power connections. Just be certain to attach them all the same way. You must be certain that the same transformer terminal goes to the same rail (center or outer) on each connection. The two outer rails are connected together by the metal ties

Welcome!  I collect mostly American Flyer but have a few Marx sets.  For longer loops I use a larger AF transformer, 100 watts or larger.
