Layout Design Software

I am looking at purchasing a layout design computer program. I consider myself at least an advanced computer user. Can some of you give me your thoughts and suggestions? Experiences and dislikes, etc. Thanks.

Dave, I use RR-track myself, but there are several more CAD based programs available. one is Cadrail-- it's a very good program. RR-track is easy to learn, easy to use, and they have libraries of just about every kind of track in ALL scales. You can purchase accessory libraries too-- i'm sure that you wil get some more replies about the other programs, I just really like RR-track.

To add to this, I also use RR Track to design layouts. If yo uare using sectional track systems, it is the best. There are libraries for all brands fo O and S gauge sectional track, as wel las libraries for most types of HO, N, TT, Standard Gauge and Z. You can also buy libraries of accessories for O and S The software is VERY accurate, very smooth and a lot of fun to use.

See my website for examples in O, O27, S, HO, TT, N, G and Standard gauges.
