You might want to check the O Gauge Railroading forum. They have a sub-forum for two-rail O. They might have someone who has attempted what you want to do, and who could point you toward the parts and material you need.

I've looked at their offerings, but I can't seem to find any reviews or opinions on them.  It seems where ever I go online to get information I either get silence or a complete dumpster fire full of opposing opinions. Just seems difficult to get a straight answer from anyone.  Example:  I have MPC era Lehigh Valley GP9 Powered and UnPowered units....I want to convert the Powered from Pullmore to Can and I want to Power the UnPowered unit.  Can I just buy a modern Lionel Can powered geared truck?  Do I need to rip it apart and make my own can conversion?  Does that mean I'll need to buy original Pullmore geared trucks for the UnPowered unit and convert those to?  Where can I buy the geared trucks?  Seems like everywhere I go everyone is tight lipped...like it's some crazy top secret voodoo...and don't tell me that no one's converting pullmores to cans or powering up Non Powered units.

I guess I'm just trying to find a friendly online community that has answers instead of arguments and can shed some light on things.

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

I'm looking for reliable (but affordable) supplier for converting 3 rail to 2 rail and powering non pwered units.  Searching via Google seems to generate a whole lot of different places to buy different parts....but nothing that seems to be complete and finding applicable reviews has been difficult as well.
