Bringing back some memories from my last layout. Similar room (sans window). I didn't finish the ceiling, but used it to hang a series of single tube shop lights, and several strands of blue rope-lights (GE) for night running. My next step would be to get some backdrop panelling up, painted in a sky-blue color. You can always come back and add more details later.
Good start, Jim.
KRM Good start Jim. Are you going to finish those walls? I would. Looking back I wish I would of done more room work before I started the layout.

And before you get much farther, as it is a real pain to do after the layout is built.

Great start - now if I just had a basement....
