Hi to All
I have a Lionel locomotive number 2338. When I run the engine over the 8 volt the e-unit become to make noise (vibrations) and when the engine pass over the switch some times stop the noise and after few seconds become again.
maybe the e-unit is old?
and sorry for my english?

andregg1, maybe some of the "electrical experts" can help you. I've got a lot of Lionel units. Some with quite Eunits and some with noisy. As long as the engines run fine, I just ignore the nosiy ones. Glad to see you posting here.

Andre, e-units are almost always noisy. There are ways to make them quiet. If you search this forum for "e-unit bridge" (without the quotation marks), you will find several topics that explain it.
