I have a Marx 0-4-0 steam locomotive with a metal body that has no numbers on it. Can anyone tell me what model number this is, when it was made, or what it might be worth?
It's roughly 10" long, which I guess makes it O27 scale
It has a working front light
Aside from being dusty, it's in pretty good condition

Looks like a 591/592 Marx. The Kalmbach/Greenberg pocket price guide says they were made from 1953-'60; My research of the windup version (533) in Wards, Sears and other ads indicates they were made in the 1953-'58 range. The guide claims the electric versions are worth $8 to $15; I'm not sure what they currently sell for online or at shows. They were made at the tail end of the Marx metal body steam locomotive era before they were phased out in favor of the plastic body steam locos. They tend to be underappreciated; not as detailed as the diecast or plastic steamers, not as heavy or as well proportioned as the earlier stamped steel steam locos. But, they still have a bullet-proof Marx motor in them and run well!

Just found the same locomotive along with two train sets in my grandfather's things over Thanksgiving. Any advice on where to start in restoring the train? If needed I can post a picture of it.
